Future Human is ‘the theatre of innovation’, a multi-platform media project that incorporates live events, books and digital experiences.
Live, digitally and in print, Future Human shines a light on cultural and economic innovation – or, more simply, new ideas and their application. Our belief is that while the process of innovation can be unsettling, it is also exciting and necessary.
The global financial crisis of 2007-2009 imposed terrible hardship, but also presented us with a liberating opportunity: a once in a lifetime chance to remodel Britain’s future, to re-imagine its place in the world and our place within it.
Opinions on the UK’s coalition government are largely immaterial; the real agents of change in 21st century Britain are the upstart individuals and companies who seek to profit from evolving cultural tendencies, and who are employing new technologies, business strategies and philosophies.
Across multiple media, Future Human strives to tell the stories of these entrepreneurs, innovators and thinkers, and delve into the dramatic milieu that created them.
We want to show how these developments are forging all our futures, and to become a leading resource on the subject of change and innovation.
In the process, Future Human aims take you on a journey, to travel beyond the ruins of our economic present towards the frontiers of an exhilarating, radically altered near-future.
