Masterclass curated by DUAE
Five days of full immersion in which will be alternated theoretical lessons and photographic practices : the participants will explore the northern district of Barcelona, object of investigation, of the Masterclass “Urban Observations”. Giulio di Sturco will guide every participant to build its personal photographic project.
The portion of territory chosen as the place of “observation” will lose its geographic coordinates, to become object of reflection in the relationship between center and periphery. A relationship in continuous evolution, complex in terms of urban and landscape views but extremely useful from a socio-anthropological point of view as able to provide information on changes and the needs of an expanding society.
During the last 10 years various districts of Barcelona have been the object of a sudden transformation. Many peripheral areas have been incorporated by the “urban center” while others have remained decentralized, experiencing a double isolation: social and physical.

INFORMATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
All participants with more than 18 years old can subscribe to this masterclass.
Each participant must have its own equipment that includes: digital camera, sd memory cards, card readers for importing images, laptop installed with a post-production program, usb. It is required for each participant a portfolio with a max 15 photos in jpg format.
The language of the workshop is English.
Number of participants: The workshop will be activated to achieving a minimum of 8 participants.
The final Project will be included in the project that Duae is creating on the north area of Barcelona during the artistic residency.
