Nico, nome d'arte di Christa Päffgen nata a Colonia nel 1938, morta ad Ibiza nel 1988.
È stata una cantante, modella e attrice tedesca naturalizzata statunitense.
Tutti la ricordano soprattutto per essere stata, per un certo periodo, la cantante del gruppo rock Velvet Underground, composto da Lou Reed, Jhon Cale, Sterling Morrison e Maureen Tucker.
Questa canzone è tratta dall’album ‘THE END…” quarto album da solista, pubblicato nel 1974 dall’etichetta Island Records. In copertina un frame di “Les Hautes Solitudes”, un film del regista francese Philippe Garrel, ove Nico apparve come attrice.
