Woven from a Macomber floor loom with hand dyed wool yarn, Erin M. Riley‘s series of pieces are inspired by the images produced by the internet generation. Web generated sex and self destruction, excess and confusion. Erin portraits a generation ready to die or to disappear with an apparently distant media, and for this reason dyed wool tapestry makes the images double stronger. Her show will be at Guerrero Gallery‘s project room March 9th – April 6th, 2013. Don’t miss it.
