FERRAN ADRIA' ABOUT MATADOR PROJECT

Volume Ñ presents an outlook on Adrià's connections with other areas of culture and society, his links with the arts and science through knowledge, emotion and sense of humour.
The work of the artist Hannah Collins the musician Peter Gabriel and the film maker Bigas Luna, together with texts by the scientist David A. Weitz, the philosopher Yves Michaud, the chef Gaston Acurio or the curator Roger Buergel, among others, helps to pick out the relationships to be found between gastronomy and music, film, design, architecture or health.

Previously unpublished photographs from the 50's to the 80's present the origins of elBulli, before the arrival of Ferrán Adrià and becoming the best restaurant in the world.

The journal includes exclusive texts from Vicente Todolí, Vicente Verdú, Andoni Luis Aduriz, Gustavo Martín Garzo, Antoni Miralda, Ramon Gomis, Christopher Fynsk, Pau Arenós and Toni Segarra, among others.

Ferrán Adrià's immediate future includes elBulli Foundation and the elBulli Museum. Matador Ñ reveals the details of these personal projects.

Thanks to the collaboration of the Bacon Santander Foundation, the journal is completed with an Artist's Notebook from Carsten Höller, containing seventeen photographs from his series Triple Mushrooms, sculptures made from three different type of fungi, complete exclusively for Matador.

El Vino Matador, with its label designed by Höller, is a unique wine from the Clos d'Agon vineyard, in the Gerona region of La Calonge.

The journal will also include, for the first time, a version for iPad and tablets, including extra audiovisual material.
