Il 12 giugno è stato avviato il Concorso Artistico Internazionale Two calls for Vajont che coinvolgerà l’area del Vajont, teatro nel 1963 della Tragedia del Vajont.
Il Concorso si propone di selezionare, entro la fine del prossimo mese di ottobre, due opere di public art, che verranno realizzate su due luoghi emblematici che ancora oggi rappresentano la tragedia e la morte: la Diga del Vajont e la facciata sud dell’ex scuola di Casso, ora Nuovo Spazio di Casso.
Il Concorso opera attraverso una giuria qualificata, e viene proposto nel contesto artistico internazionale, attraverso la collaborazione di diversi enti ed istituti italiani ed esteri.
L’arte contemporanea assume dunque un ruolo e una responsabilità culturale importanti attraverso questo grande cantiere ideativo.
esso intende proporre e figurare concretamente una riflessione proiettiva e rinnovativa per l’area critica del Vajont e per la sua identità, rifiutandosi di intendere questa terra come l’eterna “terra della morte”.
Il Concorso si svolge attraverso una doppia open call:
a call for a line è il Concorso sulla Diga del Vajont.
a call for a wall è il Concorso sulla facciata dell’ex scuola di Casso.

On the 12th of june, the International Artistic Contest Two calls for Vajont that will involve the Vajont area, location of the Vajont Tragedy of 1963, has been launched. The Contest undertakes the task of finding, from now to the end of october, two artworks of public art, that will be realized on two emblematic places that to this day represent tragedy and death: the Vajont Dam and the southern façade of the former elementary school of Casso, now Nuovo Spazio di Casso.
The Contest has a very qualified jury, and is thus introduced in the international artistic context, through the collaboration between different authorities and institutions. contemporary art gains, therefore, an important cultural role and responsibility, through this great conceptual “construction site”.
The Contest wants to create a projective and re-innovative reflection for the critical area of the Vajont and for its identity, refusing to eternally intend this territory as the “land of death”.
The Contest is developed in a double open call:
