Writing is an exercise that I pursuit very little and it is something that ironically I do best when I travel by train.
So I find myself putting down these lines, in several journeys, on the railway line which was, among others, the one where Alex and I began to use when we were teenagers.
Talking about Alex’s work is almost as easy as talking about my own work, if I consider that I witnessed most of the shots of the first volume preceding Fast or Die.
Splitting the work of Alex Fakso from his personal attitude may be limiting in order to understand both realms, the design-artistic one and the personal one that actually I would describe as rather hermetic, not easy to access.
