E’ nata una nuova rivista di arte e cultura. Le dedico un post per il primo numero e, soprattutto, per la prima copertina con un poetico, quasi impalpabile ritratto dell’artista Fiammetta De Michele firmato da Sergio Valente. A Rush Of Culture nasce dalle menti dell’art director e designer Alessandro Turci e dalla graphic director Adriana Collura, e sarà visibile a breve nei bookshops della Tate Modern e al Palais deTokio bookshops, e già da ora in Triennale, Armani Libri, Galleria Rizzoli e Hoepli a Milano.
Poche parole (non mie) di presentazione: A Rush Of Culture è il nuovo progetto editoriale e curatoriale che opera a livello internazionale sul mercato dell’arte e dell’eccellenza. Una ricerca di estetica contemporanea che si sviluppa attraverso molteplici realtà promuovendo mostre, eventi culturali, partnerships ad esso connessi.
Il progetto editoriale è un book in formato XL cm 29×40 da collezione, tematico, quadrimestrale, con testo in italiano ed inglese. Estremamente accurato nella ricerca grafica e compositiva, nella originale scelta delle carte e delle finiture che esprimono al meglio le opere pubblicate.
A Rush of culture è un personale racconto che si snoda per ogni numero tra i diciotto artisti pubblicati.
In ogni numero viene presentato inoltre, un servizio prodotto in esclusiva per Rush quale personale visione del concept enunciato. Foto video e testi come manifesto di creatività.
Sulla copertina del primo numero intitolato Metamorphosis l’artista Fiammetta De Michele compare in veste di performer nel lavoro del fotografo Sergio Valente “Cocooning”. Metamorphosis è hegheliana dialettica della morte e della distruzione come passaggi necessari per la rigenerazione. Il bozzolo è uno stato mentale, uno stadio dell’esistenza. La scelta di ritrarre persone comuni, modelli ed un’artista come embrioni che si sviluppano nei loro bozzoli ci mostra come la diversità sia sinonimo di forza vitale. Completa il lavoro “Cocooning” il video realizzato dal film maker Gabriele Scotti per A Rush Of Culture.
A new magazine is born. And I decided to dedicate a post for the first number and, above all, for the first cover with a poetic and very fine portrait of the artist Fiammetta De Michele by Sergio Valente, for this new amazing Art & Culture magazine, A Rush Of Culture, created by the eclectic mind of Italian Art director/ designer Alessandro Turci and graphic director Adriana Collura soon to be exhibited at Tate Modern and Palais deTokio bookshops, and available now at Triennale, Armani Libri, Galleria Rizzoli & Hoepli in Milan.
A Rush of Culture is a new editorial and curatorial project covering internationally the art and excellence fields. A contemporary aesthetic research reaching out on many different fields, promoting exhibitions, cultural events and partnerships. The editorial project comes in an oversized 30X40cm book format. It is a collectible book, published every 4 months with Italian and English text. It is extremely refined in every detail, from graphics, to paper quality, to the finishes in order to best express and valorize the contents published. A Rush of Culture can be described as a personal tale, covering on each issue one of the 18 artists published, along with an exclusive Rush commentary and artist exploration trough the usage of photos, videos and text.
On the cover of the first issue, titled Methamorphosis, is the artist Fiammetta de Michele in “Cocooning“, performing the idea and subject of photographer Sergio Valente. Metamorphosis is an Hegelian story of death and destruction seen as necessary steps towards regeneration and newborn life. The cocoon is a metaphor for a mental state, a stage of life. The choice of portraying common people as well as models and artists as embryos developing in their cocoons is to make us focus on the fact that diversity is synonym with vital force. Along with the photographic part, “Cocooning” comes with a video by film maker Gabriele Scotti.
